This week’s recommended wine is Paul Ginglinger’s Alsace Riesling.

Very light, very crisp, dry, with northern fruits (pear, apple) and honey.

We were very impressed.

Get it at the Fresta in Hisamatsudai.

making salt pork

Sisters M. and N. are making salt pork.

They salted the pork last week.

Today they washed the pork, and salted it again.

Now the pork goes back in the fridge.

It sleeps for another two weeks.

Yesterday, my friend Sho helped me to paint the frame.

This is me, today, painting the wheels.

Next come the mattress, pillows, and blanket.

Maybe some ribbons, flowers, and teddy bears, too.

It is going to be beautiful.
